Every 1% GHK-Cu Serum, Compared

1% is the concentration most of the topical GHK-Cu literature works at, so it is a reasonable thing to decide on before choosing a brand. Six products in our dataset state it.

We make one of them. It is in the table, priced in the middle, and it is not the best on every column.

The six

Product Price Per ml pH stated INCI position
Dr. Brenner Labs Copper Peptide Serum $29.99 not stated No 6th of 12
Skin Perfection GHK-Cu Serum $33.95 ~$2.26 No 2nd of 3
Black Tie Health GHK-Cu Serum 1% $49.99 not stated No 3rd of 4
amide Dermal Recovery Serum $60 / 30ml $2.00 Yes, 6.0 8th of 25
NIOD CAIS3 $62 / 15ml $4.13 Yes, 5.7 to 6.7 4th of 20
NIOD CAIL $93 / 15ml $6.20 Yes, 4.8 to 5.8 9th of 21

Checked 24 August 2026 against brand pages, independently re-verified. Several brands do not state a volume, which is why the per-ml column has gaps. That is itself a small disclosure failure.

Two of these are not quite the same thing

NIOD CAIL states 1% Pal-GHK-Cu, the palmitoyl version. That is a different molecule from GHK-Cu, not a different concentration of the same one. Do not cross-shop it as if it were.

NIOD CAIS3 states 1% GHK-Cu plus a separate 1% GHK, so it carries a free peptide alongside the copper-bound one. More granular than anyone else here, ourselves included.

What separates them once concentration is equal

If all six state 1%, concentration stops being the deciding variable and three others take over.

pH. Only three of the six state one. Copper stays bound to the peptide in a band around 6.0, and outside it the complex dissociates in the bottle. A product that does not state a pH may still be formulated correctly, but you cannot check.

Base. Aqueous absorbs and disappears. Silicone-heavy bases pill under sunscreen and are the reason copper peptides have that reputation. Worth reading the INCI for.

Packaging. Copper peptide complexes are photosensitive. Opaque or amber is a functional requirement, not an aesthetic one. Why colour change matters.

Ingredient count. 3 ingredients versus 25 versus 49 is a philosophy difference. Short formulas give you control over your own stack. Long ones do several jobs in one step.

Which to buy

Cheapest at a stated 1%: Dr. Brenner Labs at $29.99, though no volume is stated so per-ml value cannot be checked.

Most documented: NIOD CAIS3, with a pH range and the GHK-Cu / GHK split. You pay roughly double per ml for it.

Simplest formula: Skin Perfection at 3 ingredients total, if minimalism is what you want.

Ours sits at $2.00 per ml with a stated pH, an aqueous base and amber glass. We are the middle option on price and we are not the most documented. That is the honest placement.
