Follicular Signal Delivery

1% GHK-Cu reaches the dermal papilla directly via a nozzle applicator built for scalp contact. Supports the appearance of follicle density and anchoring, particularly during androgenic stress windows.

Aqueous. Weightless. Workday-ready.

Water-based delivery dries before you style. No residue, no grease, no interference with your hair. Applied at the scalp, not the shaft. Absorbs fully in under 60 seconds.

Signal at the source.

The nozzle applicator is designed for scalp contact, not shaft coating. GHK-Cu reaches the dermal papilla directly, where follicle phase decisions are made. Aqueous base absorbs fully before styling.

The scalp environment is the variable.

GHK-Cu's relevance to follicular biology is documented across 40 years of copper peptide research. At the scalp level, GHK-Cu signals dermal papilla cells, the mesenchymal cells that govern whether a follicle enters anagen (growth), catagen (regression), or telogen (rest). Plasma GHK-Cu concentrations decline linearly with age and under androgenic stress, which is the biological mechanism behind the density loss experienced by individuals on testosterone protocols, high-intensity training regimens, and caloric restriction. The Follicle Protocol Serum delivers 1% GHK-Cu in an aqueous base directly to the scalp via a nozzle applicator designed for dermal papilla proximity, not shaft coating. Applied once daily. Absorbs fully before styling.

What is inside.

Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu)

signal

The hero molecule. GHK-Cu signals dermal papilla cells, the mesenchymal cells that govern whether a follicle enters anagen (growth), catagen (regression), or telogen (rest). Upregulates genes associated with matrix remodeling and suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokines elevated during hormonal and androgenic stress cycles. Stabilized at pH 6.0 in an aqueous base to prevent copper dissociation. At the scalp, GHK-Cu signals dermal papilla cells governing follicle phase cycling. Supports the appearance of follicular density and anchoring.

Confirmed 1% concentration. Certificate of Analysis available on request.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline)

signal

At the scalp, reduces inflammatory signaling in the perifollicular environment. Supports a lower-inflammation micro-environment around the follicle base during periods of androgenic stress.

Neurotransmitter-modulating peptide. Cosmetic-category compliant at topical concentrations.

Beta-Glucan

functional

Scalp barrier support. Activates wound-response pathways at the scalp surface, reduces perifollicular inflammation associated with androgenic stress, and maintains high moisture retention at the scalp dermis without grease or residue.

Oat-derived polysaccharide. Well-documented for barrier activation and anti-inflammatory activity at the skin surface.

Centella Asiatica Extract

functional

Triterpenoid complex. Supports dermal papilla cell environment and scalp collagen architecture. Madecassoside and asiaticoside support the integrity of the connective tissue surrounding the follicle base.

One of the most studied botanical actives for collagen support. Synergistic with GHK-Cu at the connective tissue level.

Niacinamide

functional

Sebum regulation, scalp barrier reinforcement. Reduces the inflammatory microenvironment that accelerates follicle miniaturization under androgenic pressure. Supports ceramide synthesis in the scalp stratum corneum.

One of the most consistently validated topical actives for barrier and sebum regulation. Compatible with GHK-Cu at pH 6.0.

Lactobacillus / Mushroom Ferment Complex

functional

Reishi and Shiitake-derived ferment filtrates support scalp microbiome balance. A dysbiotic scalp environment is associated with elevated inflammatory cytokines that compound androgenic follicle stress. This complex supports a lower-inflammation baseline.

Includes Lactobacillus/Ganoderma Lucidum (Reishi)/Lentinus Edodes (Shiitake) Extract Ferment Filtrate from the confirmed Indigo formula.

Sodium Hyaluronate

functional

Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid salt. Penetrates beyond the scalp surface to deliver multi-depth hydration to the dermis where follicle anchoring structures reside. Maintains moisture at the dermal papilla level without surface grease or residue. Critical for a spray-applied formula that needs to dry cleanly before styling.

Scalp dryness and inflammation are co-occurring variables. Hydration at depth supports a lower-stress follicle environment without interfering with the GHK-Cu signal.

Journal of Biomaterials Science (Pickart, 1973–2015)

2015

Loren Pickart established across four decades of GHK-Cu research that copper peptides increase follicle size, prolong the anagen phase, and stimulate follicle stem cell activity. The most cited body of work in the copper peptide field.

Built for the protocol-literate.

The Follicle Protocol Serum is for people who understand why their hair changed when their protocol changed. Who know that androgenic shifts, from testosterone cycles, hormonal optimization, or caloric restriction, alter the scalp environment before they alter the hairline. Who have watched other people reach for finasteride or minoxidil and decided they want a peptide-first approach first. They are not buying a hair growth shampoo. They are applying a targeted biological signal to the scalp daily, with a nozzle that gets the molecule to the dermal papilla instead of coating the shaft. They understand 1% GHK-Cu is a concentration threshold, not a label claim. They want the signal. Not the ceremony.

Protocol feedback.

I did a lot of reading on copper peptides before buying this. The follicle research is solid if the concentration is right. This one is 1% and the spray actually delivers it to the scalp instead of your fingers. Six weeks in, thinning at the crown has visibly slowed!

Common questions.

How do I apply the Follicle Protocol Serum?

Apply to a clean, dry scalp. Part the hair in sections and apply the nozzle tip directly to the scalp. Work in rows from the hairline back. Do not rinse. Apply once daily, ideally after showering when the scalp is clean. Absorbs fully before styling.

Can I use this during a TRT or AAS cycle?

Yes. The Follicle Protocol Serum is designed for users navigating androgenic hormonal cycles. It supports the scalp micro-environment during periods of elevated androgenic activity without drug-category claims or interference with hormonal protocols. It is cosmetic-category compliant and contains no pharmaceutical actives.

What is the pH of the formula and why does it matter?

The formula is stabilized at pH 6.0. This is the formulation window at which GHK-Cu maintains complex integrity, keeping the copper ion bound to the tripeptide. Below pH 4 (common with direct acids) or in the presence of Vitamin C, the copper dissociates from the peptide and the biological signal is lost. amide formulas do not include any pH-incompatible actives.

Can I layer this with my other protocols?

Yes, with one exception. The amide formulas are compatible with retinoids, other peptides (Matrixyl, Argireline, Leuphasyl), niacinamide, and SPF. Do not layer in the same application window as Vitamin C or direct acids (AHAs, BHAs, PHAs). pH conflict will destabilize the GHK-Cu complex. If you use Vitamin C in your AM protocol, apply amide at a separate time or use it PM only.

Will I notice a skin adjustment period?

Some users notice a temporary texture change in the first few weeks of use. This results from over-stimulation of metalloproteinases when copper peptides are introduced at high frequency. If you notice any temporary texture change, pause use for two to four weeks before resuming. This is normal with high-concentration copper peptide actives and resolves on its own.

Who should not use this product?

If you are pregnant, nursing, or have a known sensitivity to copper or any listed ingredient, do not use. If you are on prescription topicals (tretinoin, clindamycin, or similar), consult your dermatologist before adding a copper peptide to the same protocol window. Individuals with Wilson disease (copper metabolism disorder) should not use copper-containing topicals.
